Overnight Warehouse Associate

Kast Distributors, Inc. – South Jersey’s premier distributor of Restaurant Supplies is rapidly growing and looking to add to our amazing team of Warehouse Associates!

Position: Warehouse

Compensation: This is a Union position that follows a pay progression as determined by the Union Contract

Shifts: Sunday through Thursday (8pm to 4:30am)

Our Warehouse Personnel are part of a team whose mission is to efficiently process order fulfillment by selecting products for shipment, arranging items efficiently/safely on pallets for loadout and staging them on our loading dock. Associates must maintain a level of work productivity as established by warehouse management. Keep work area clear of spills or unsanitary conditions to promote a healthy environment.

Skills/ Responsibilities: -- Locate, select, label and ensure orders are picked to 100% accuracy / 100% completion.

-- Pick orders for each route per Pick Labels and Route Sheets.

--Replenish Pick Slots as/when needed.

--Perform general cleaning duties and maintain Pick Slot order/organization throughout.

--Load and unload product on and off trucks.

-- Other Duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: --Previous experience in a warehouse setting.

--Candidate must be able to work in a team environment and/or independently.

--Strict attention to detail and accuracy needed.

--Ability to read, write and speak English and possess good basic math skills.

--Ability to work in cold and freezer environments.

--Must be able to stand, bend, reach and lift in excess of 50lbs multiple times

-- Must be acclimated to working at heights in excess of 12’ in performance of duties.

-- The following equipment experience is required:

Order/Cherry Picker, Fork Truck, Reach Truck, Ride on/Walk behind Pallet Jack

--Must be willing to work at a height of up to 40 feet
