Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers and related equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of boiler systems, including pumps, compressors, and control systems.
- Adjust controls and settings to maintain optimal steam generation and pressure levels as required for various operations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Maintain detailed logs and records of operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement process improvements and ensure system reliability.
- Adhere to all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support emergency response activities related to steam and boiler systems as necessary.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
- Valid High Pressure Boiler Operator’s License or equivalent certification required.
- Strong understanding of boiler control systems, steam distribution, and auxiliary equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to boiler operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in boiler operation preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with HVAC, BMS, and process equipment in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
- Requires standing, walking, and physical activity in an industrial environment.
- May involve working shifts, including nights and weekends, based on operational needs.
