OTR Box Truck Driver

CDL not required must work 7-10 days out. Prefer experienced driver.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to navigate various routes effectively.

Duties

• Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, including mileage and fuel consumption.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
• Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
• Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for loading and unloading tasks.
• Drive manual transmission vehicles when required.

Skills

• Proven experience in moving and route driving with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
• Ability to operate a van or truck with proficiency in manual transmission.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience with loading and unloading cargo safely using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery logs and vehicle inspections.
• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not required.
