Legal Assistant – Seattle, Washington (Hybrid)
A Washington-based employment law practice is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant for a hybrid position. This role provides comprehensive support for litigation and case management across state, federal, and appellate matters, along with occasional arbitration work. Key Responsibilities:
• Calendaring: Manage deadlines across multiple jurisdictions and matter types.
• Court Coordination: Assist with scheduling hearings, managing appearance logistics, and organizing motion-related tasks.
• Rulings & Updates: Monitor court updates and help prepare responsive tasks.
• Communication: Draft and manage correspondence with clients and opposing counsel; update internal case systems; coordinate mediations and depositions.
• Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents; prepare tables of contents/authorities; assist with filings and related submissions; track associated fees and expenses.
• Research: Review procedural rules and local requirements as needed.
• Filing: Manage court filings and submissions to relevant agencies.
• Deposition Support: Coordinate logistics for depositions and related preparation.
• Case Management: Maintain summaries, notes, checklists, and ongoing task reminders.
• Appeals: Support the preparation of appellate filings, including record assembly and formatting.
• Administrative Support: Assist with routine administrative tasks and other responsibilities as assigned.
