Position Summary
This is a full-time, Union Position for a Construction Foreman to oversee underground utility, concrete, excavation, pavement and dirt projects, ensuring quality and efficiency, located in Stow, Ohio.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead crew members
- Ensure the construction work is completed safely, efficiently, and above the required quality standards
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors when needed
- Ability to perform varies types of construction work in accordance with applicable ODOT and county specifications
- Complete jobs on time and within budget
- Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy highway construction work
- Understand how to read and interpret blueprint reading, plans and specifications
- Working knowledge of construction equipment
- Ability to calculate materials necessary to complete work
- Strong communication, planning and analytical skills
- Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and labor hours worked
- Enforce safety policies and ensure that all crew members comply with safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to job sites
