Electrical Drafter

educational, and multi-family projects. We are seeking a Plumbing Designer with 3–5 years of experience who is technically capable, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow within a collaborative engineering environment.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of project types while developing technical expertise, project coordination skills, and increasing design responsibility.
Position Summary
The Electrical Drafter is responsible for preparing and revising electrical construction
drawings for commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal projects. Working under the direction of engineers and project managers, the Electrical Drafter converts design concepts, sketches, and markups into accurate construction documents while ensuring compliance with company drafting standards and project requirements.
This position focuses primarily on drafting, document production, and project coordination rather than electrical system design.
Essential Responsibilities
Drafting & Document Production
· Prepare electrical plans, details, schedules, and diagrams using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
· Develop construction documents from engineer markups, sketches, and redlines.
· Revise drawings throughout project design and construction phases.
· Create and maintain panel schedules, one-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and electrical details.
· Assemble drawing packages for permit, bid, and construction submissions.
Project Coordination
· Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and civil disciplines.
· Identify and communicate drawing conflicts and coordination issues.
· Attend project coordination meetings as required.
· Incorporate design changes and client comments into project documents. Quality Control
· Verify drawing accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
· Follow company CAD standards, file management procedures, and drafting protocols.
· Perform self-checks prior to submitting drawings for review.
· Maintain revision logs and document control records. Field Support
· Assist with field measurements and existing condition documentation when required.
· Update drawings based on field observations and as-built information.
· Support project teams during construction administration activities.
Required Qualifications
Education
· Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in Drafting Technology, CAD Technology, or a related field.
Experience
· 1–3 years of drafting experience preferred.
· Experience in an engineering, architectural, MEP consulting, or construction environment is a plus.
Technical Skills
· Proficiency in AutoCAD.
· Working knowledge of Revit preferred.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
· Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction documents.
· Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and engineering markups.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
