This position reports to the Media Relations Director. THREE TO FOUR of experience with at least TWO years of travel/hospitality PR experience is required.

Position: Media Relations Senior Account Executive/Account Supervisor
Location: Chicago, IL
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead travel and restaurant accounts, acting as day-to-day client contact and always anticipating next steps.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
- Develop and execute strategic media relations plans to maximize coverage and visibility for our clients.
- Create compelling press materials, including press releases, media pitches, and key messaging documents.
- Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and events.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Attend all client meetings with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Keep client folders organized
- Send client leads and media hits in real-time
- Work on and send Client Activity Reports at the end of every month
- Schedule routine media appointments at client establishments
- Attend segments, media interviews, etc. with clients
- Manage interns/coordinators
Qualifications for an ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in Media Relations (TravelFood & Beverage), with a proven track record of securing media placements from pitch to finish.
- Genuine interest in the hospitality industry (with knowledge of Chicago and corresponding markets).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
