The Role
The Executive Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain exceptional food quality, and mentor a diverse brigade. This role is ideal for a chef who combines strong leadership with deep curiosity for global cuisines, fermentation, spices, live-fire techniques, and regional traditions.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef

Execute and uphold menu standards rooted in Silk Road culinary traditions

Train, mentor, and motivate sous chefs and line cooks

Ensure consistency, quality, and timing across all services

Collaborate on menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings

Manage prep, ordering, inventory, and food cost controls

Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards

Foster a respectful, inclusive, and disciplined kitchen culture

5 years of professional kitchen experience, including leadership roles

Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume or fine-casual/fine-dining environment

Strong knowledge of global cuisines; experience with Middle Eastern, Central Asian, Chinese, Persian, or Mediterranean cooking is a plus

Proven ability to lead teams calmly and effectively under pressure
