Automotive Technician

KarMART Volkswagen is seeking 1-2 technician to join our team! We are a small shop that delivers big results. The ideal candidates will have knowledge of Volkswagen vehicles, and a willingness to learn! Dealership experience is desired, but not required.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional automotive service experiences, keeping our customers’ vehicles in top condition. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems.
• Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive axles.
• Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and realignments to ensure proper handling and safety.
• Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical system troubleshooting and repairs.
• Service and repair advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to enhance vehicle safety features.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate repair progress clearly with customers.

Skills

• Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repairs.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and vehicle electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration and vehicle transmission system repair.
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including diesel engine repair and vehicle systems troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with automotive wiring diagram interpretation, alignment procedures, and suspension system repair techniques.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
• Technical proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools, power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment for repairs.
