What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician I position at Karman Space & Defense?
The Production Technician I supports assembly and production line activities, ensuring materials and products meet quality standards. This role follows established procedures, assists with equipment operation, and reports issues to supervisors in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Performs line functions and assembles final product as required under the direction of the Line Supervisor
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives
- Uses quality control methods to verify goods received are consistent with required standards; uses proper QC, missing packing list, and rejection forms as needed
- Responsible for raw material requisitions
- Notifies supervisor of defective materials
- May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may lock warehouse Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Ability to understand, follow, and maintain quality and safety procedures
- Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
- Ability to detect problems and report information to supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent
