What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Karman Space & Defense?
Summary Of Position
The CNC Machine Operator position is the start of the manufacturing process. Operators will need to learn the basic ability to identify X, Y, Z, B, and C axes in 4 and 5 axis machines. This position will operate at our Wilsonville, OR location. He/she is responsible for running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, in addition to loading parts for manufacturing and adhering to all work instructions. Previous experience with CNC Machining in a manufacturing work environment is not required.

- The Machine Operator reports directly to the area Supervisor.
- Load parts for 3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC Machines
- Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
- Monitors the machine and tools to ensure proper performance.
- Completes work orders, inspection documentation, and daily preventative maintenance sheets.
- Makes tool adjustments with moderate supervision.
- Promote health and safety of self and co-workers
- Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Completes all required training.
