What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Production Technician position at Karman Space & Defense?

- Complete work orders/travelers when they are scheduled to be finalized.
- Utilizing ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.
- Understand the production process in the various areas which include tape wrapping, cutting, and compression molding and hand layup of composites.
- Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Mix and measure resin and adhesive.
- Adjust temperature controls of ovens.
- Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.
- Maintain production or processing equipment. Use of upper body mobility, such as bending, use of arms and hands, and standing for the majority of the time.
- 2-3 years of experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 50lbs. Repetitive motion
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations , certain positions may require applicants to be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. - Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours.
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, stooping or carrying up to 50 lbs. Min 35lbs.
- Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.
- Holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
- Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level. Occasional forklift driving required.
