Data Migration Analyst

Position Summary

The Data Migration Analyst will act as a liaison for all Data Conversion duties and will be the go-to person for all Implementation teams for all technical or conversion related issues. The Data Migration Analyst will also be responsible for making decisions regarding technical needs, documentation, custom quoting, and coordination of conversion scheduling. This role will work closely with the Director of Implementations, Implementation Managers and Resource Coordinators to ensure high quality data conversion and coordination of resources. The Data Migration Analyst will provide proper guidance to Implementation team members, set expectations in data cleansing, provide guidance on data transfer/conversion in the best possible way that would mutually benefit the customer and Karmak immediately and for the future. This role will also be a consistent point of contact through the implementation process for the customer as it pertains to their data requirements.

Educate Implementation team members on how to challenge the customer in identifying, acknowledging, and taking action in the data cleansing process with long term business benefits and success. Providing our customers with service that exceeds their expectations as a Karmak representative. Work integrally with the Implementation teams. Coordinate and communicate internally and to the customer with a unified message as a team.

Essential Job Functions

• Actively demonstrates leadership qualities and is comfortable working alongside Implementation Management team.
• Act as point person for all conversion technical questions, conversion best practice guidance, and customer conversion concerns for both internal and external customers.
• Quotes all Custom Data Conversions and coordinates completion of work with Data Integration Engineer and Customer.
• Owns all aspects of Custom Data Conversion revenue and what is currently in the pipeline with deadlines for completion.
• Mentors all Implementation team members actively doing Data Conversion on best practices, potential roadblocks, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Has knowledge and understanding of SQL and Fusion SQL table structure.
• Seeks out process improvement and recognizes needs to improve customer experience with Data Conversion services.
• Manages workflow of Data Conversion and makes suggestions for areas of improvement.
• Works closely with Resource Coordinators to manage Data Conversion scheduling and workload. Is able to make scheduling decisions to accommodate staffing and customer needs/services.
• Owns and maintains Data Conversion Schedule and all active and upcoming conversions and potential roadblocks.
• Builds rapport and relationships with all teams inside of Karmak.
• Builds rapport and relationships with Karmak Customers.
• Informs Implementation Managers of Customer concerns well in advance and looks for proactive solutions to address Customer concerns.

In addition to Data Migration Analyst essential job functions this role can also back up and perform Data Migration Analyst duties and responsibilities. These duties include the following Key Result Area's:

Key Result Area #1: Data Analysis

To do a detailed analysis of the customer's data and their data requirements. Working with the customer to clarify and validate data, while setting the proper expectations regarding data as it is pertaining to the implementation process for new business implementation and branch adds.

Duties & Activities

• Pre-data analysis performed prior to data discussions
• Perform data discussions with customer
• Work in a consulting type manner with the customer as action items are identified
• Meet with the configuration teams on each customer

Key Result Area #2: Data Cleansing

To have purpose, clarity, creative reasonable problem-solving ideas with the data that is mutually beneficial to Karmak and the customer. Provide guidance to the customer in this process.

Duties & Activities

• Meet with the customer and provide them a status on all outstanding items related to data.
• Coordinate and communicate internally on data cleansing plans.
• Keep detailed notes, stored in a central repository, regarding data cleansing plans to allow for continuity internally and with the customer.

Key Result Area #3: Data Conversion

To coordinate and execute the conversion in the sandbox and live system. To balance the data values and acquire signoffs from the customer on successful completion of the data conversion.

Duties & Activities

• Utilize Karmak conversion tools to perform conversion-based tasks

Balance the data from the previous business system to the Fusion business system

• Validate the data
• Be a key contact in the bring live process for the conversion and training teams as well as the customer

• 2-5 years Data Migration Analyst experience a plus
• Ability to mentor multiple team members at one time and provide guidance on best practices for Data Conversion

Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
