KARL STORZ is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team on second shift. In this hands-on role, you will set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss-style machines to manufacture high-precision medical device components that support life-changing healthcare technologies.

Working from blueprints, setup sheets, and machining documentation, you will ensure components meet exact specifications while maintaining the highest quality standards. • Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss-style machines to manufacture precision components.


• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions to ensure accurate machining and inspection requirements are met.


• Inspect components to blueprint specifications and accurately record measurement and quality data.


• Edit CNC programs, make machine offsets, and perform process adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.


• Troubleshoot machine setup, tooling, and production issues using sound problem-solving techniques.


• Perform routine Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to support equipment reliability and performance.


• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and solution implementation.


• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality records in compliance with company requirements.

• 3-5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.


• Experience setting up CNC machines using layouts, setup sheets, and process documentation.


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.


• Experience inspecting machined components and documenting measurement data.


• Ability to edit CNC programs and make process adjustments as required.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.


• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.


• Ability to perform basic TPM activities on manufacturing equipment.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.


• Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the organization.

• Experience machining medical device components.


• Familiarity with GMP requirements and regulated manufacturing environments.


• Experience working with exotic metals such as nitinol, stainless steel, and nickel alloys.


• Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 standards.

• A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.


• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot machining challenges effectively.


• The ability to make sound decisions regarding machining processes while balancing quality and production schedules.


• Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining accurate production and inspection records.


• Effective communication and collaboration with engineers, supervisors, production teams, and support staff.
