What You'll Do
- Oversee and optimize enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and root-cause analysis for complex network incidents and critical escalations.
- Administer and enhance routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and cloud connectivity solutions across multiple sites.
- Support Zero Trust initiatives through network segmentation, access control, certificate-based authentication, and security policy enforcement.
- Implement automation and configuration management practices using scripting and automation tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain proactive network monitoring, telemetry, and alerting capabilities to identify issues before they impact users.
- Partner with Information Security, Quality, and business stakeholders to support audits, compliance requirements, and vulnerability remediation.
- Mentor Network Administrators and contribute to long-term network strategy, capacity planning, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
- 5 years of enterprise network engineering or network administration experience supporting multi-site environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Strong expertise with enterprise routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, and spanning tree.
- Hands-on experience administering firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and Azure cloud connectivity solutions.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues using monitoring, packet analysis, and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with scripting and automation technologies such as Python or PowerShell.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, PCNSE, or Azure Network Engineer Associate.
- Experience with SD-WAN, network access control (NAC), 802.1X, and micro-segmentation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, OT, IoMT, or regulated industry network environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience mentoring peers and helping develop team capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong partnerships across IT, Security, and business functions.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and critical infrastructure needs.
