The position also plays a key leadership role in driving operational efficiency, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead inventory planning and lifecycle management for sample products within the National Sample Warehouse (NSW)
- Oversee customer service operations, including order management, inventory allocation, and sample support
- Manage purchasing, forecasting, and inventory optimization to meet service levels and minimize excess/obsolete stock
- Ensure compliance with company policies, FDA/QSR guidelines, and sample-related billing processes
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Logistics to support business needs
- Lead, develop, and manage team performance, including hiring, training, and coaching direct reports
- Drive reporting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives across inventory and service operations
- Manage departmental budgets and support strategic operational planning
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in inventory planning, materials management, or customer service operations
- At least 2 years of experience supervising sales support or operational teams
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- 5–7 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- Experience with SAP
- Experience using PowerPoint
- Knowledge of accounting principles, material management, and order management systems
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities in a hybrid work environment
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Operations
- Analytical mindset with experience in forecasting, inventory optimization, and reporting
