Pay range: $62,500 - $81,200 CAN
KARL STORZ is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to deliver exceptional service and technical expertise across the full lifecycle of our medical devices-from installation through ongoing support. In this highly visible role, you'll partner closely with Sales and Service teams to ensure optimal performance, minimize downtime, and exceed customer expectations in clinical environments.
What You'll Do- Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and service KARL STORZ medical equipment, including OR1 Integrated Operating Rooms
- Perform on-site field service, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations
- Support customer demos, conferences, loaners, and equipment evaluations
- Document service activities using SAP ERP and quality system documentation
- Collaborate with Account Executives to promote service programs and displace competitive products
- Deliver high-quality customer support in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
- Travel extensively within your region to support customer sites
- Strong electronic, electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting expertise
- Working knowledge of networking/IP-based systems (a plus)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with basic software tools (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work flexible schedules, lift up to 50 lbs, and travel extensively
- Valid driver's license and commitment to safety and compliance
- Bilingual skills (French/English) are an asset
- Technical diploma in health sciences or a related field (required)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical support or service role within the medical device industry
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
