What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Pricing Analyst position at KARL STORZ ENDOSCOPY?
** This role will be remote with the requirement to be in the El Segundo, CA office 1-2 times a month so candidate will require to be located in the Southern California area.
ROLE OVERVIEW
KARL STORZ is currently seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join Revenue Operations.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Commercial Contracts & Service Pricing, the role will be primarily focused on designing, developing and maintaining models for use in analyzing Company pricing performance and contract pricing opportunities.
The Senior Pricing Analyst will also be responsible for implementing improvements in pricing by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends and supporting Revenue Operations management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently design and develop complex analytic models for use in analyzing Company pricing performance and strategic pricing opportunities
- Apply predictive modeling to provide analytical insights and implications for current and future strategic decisions
- Support Revenue Operations leadership by both developing and presenting analytical findings and recommendations, e.g., Executive Committee monthly updates; Directors’ meetings and CFTF meetings
- Drive the compilation and distribution of regular reporting to executives
- Support Risk Management Group with ad hoc analysis
- Assist with training new analysts that join the team
- Create new and develop upon existing analytical models to price individual service contracts
- Increase productivity by proposing new analytics and automating models and applications
- Perform analysis and investigate relationships between key variables including Reps, Price Realization, GP% and sales growth
- Drive improvement by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends and recommending pricing/performance actions
- Utilize tools such as R, Python, SQL to create process improvements and automations
- Create and manage process flow improvements across all pricing processes
- Travel up to 10%
REQUIREMENTS
Our successful candidate will have excellent written and spoken English language business communication skills. They will also have demonstrated success working in a collaborative, service-oriented team environment.
Additional requirements include, but are not limited to:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s in business, finance, statistics, accounting or similar a degree in a quantitative discipline
- Formal training in financial modeling and statistical analysis in Excel, Tableau, and similar applications
- Basic familiarity with data analysis programming languages such as R, Python, SQL
- 5 years of work of experience in analytical roles
- Ability to apply a detailed understanding of financial concepts and principles to business operations
- Ability to conceptualize & apply analytical techniques to build models/visualizations to effectively interpret quantitative data & trends
- Ability to quickly learn and become familiar with ERP and reporting systems
- In depth understanding of financial analysis and strategy; ability to test/validate analytical outputs
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of management
- Ability to work with all levels of staff and management as a self-starter and in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects with minimal supervision
