YOUR MISSION AS SERVICE MANAGER
You’ll be the engine that keeps the service department running strong, profitable, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set, forecast, and crush department goals
- Recruit, train, motivate, and lead top-tier service talent
- Build and manage the service department budget
- Monitor KPIs, productivity, CSI, and profitability
- Drive teamwork across all departments
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer, warranty, OSHA, and local/state regulations
- Develop marketing strategies to increase repeat and referral business
- Lead weekly department meetings and ongoing training
- Maintain high-quality repairs while minimizing comebacks
- Oversee scheduling, workflow, parts coordination, and technician productivity
- Handle customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
- Serve as the liaison with factory reps and technical schools
- Ensure top-tier customer experience from write-up to follow-up
