Team Karl Malone is seeking a Lot Attendant/Porter. As a member of our team, you will be instrumental in moving vehicles throughout the dealership, driving forklifts, and keeping things organized and cleaned up! You’ll play a crucial role on our team by helping our sales, repair, and delivery teams be able to find and access vehicles when needed. Responsibilities
- Maintain new and used vehicle inventory appearance through detailed cleaning of the interior and exterior.
- Installs protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service
- Replenish vehicle fluids and replace batteries as necessary.
- Helps maintain shop cleanliness, including windows, doors, floors, etc.
- Transports dealer trade vehicles between dealerships
- Transports customers to and from their homes as needed
- Working with the General Sales Manager, keep new and used vehicle lots neat, orderly, and in accordance with dealership display standards.
- Ensure all driveways and sidewalks are free from debris and snow.
- Move vehicles to and from service areas, overflow, and parking lot.
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license free from major infractions
- Ability to drive a manual transmission, smoothly
- Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic computer and internet skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
- Must be customer service oriented
- Must be self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
- Strive to respect and facilitate teamwork within all departments
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail and the ability to see tasks through
- Position requires continual standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the entire shift.
