Deep Learning Researcher

About the Role
You will work with a close-knit and fast-growing team of world-class engineers and scientists to tackle challenging problems in foundation models and deep learning, including natural language processing, multi-modal understanding, and combining learning with knowledge.
Opportunities exist to identify and develop novel deep learning applications in Apple products. Your ideas will be published in papers and improve the experience of millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Training or deployment of large models
- Building large-scale distributed systems
Other key responsibilities include proficient programming skills in Python and one of the deep learning toolkits such as JAX, PyTorch, or Tensorflow, and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Proven track record
- PhD, or equivalent practical experience, in Computer Science, or a related technical field
Preferred Qualifications
- Web-scale information retrieval
- Human-like conversation agent
- Multimodal perception for existing products and future hardware platforms
- On-device intelligence and learning with strong privacy protections

A total compensation package includes base pay determined within a range between $175,800 and $312,200 based on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
