Position Overview
Karis Integrative Medicine is seeking a skilled and caring Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our providers and clinical team. This role involves hands-on patient care, clinical preparation, and coordination of functional medicine services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about whole-person, patient-centered care.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Support
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for functional medicine visits and procedures.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain accurate vital signs, and update medical histories.
- Assist providers with procedures, testing, and therapeutics.
- Ensure sterile technique and uphold all infection control protocols.
Patient Care & Experience
- Provide clear, compassionate explanations.
- Support patients throughout their visit to create a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Answer basic clinical questions within scope and escalate concerns appropriately.
Documentation & Workflow
- Accurately document patient information in the EHR.
- Prepare supplies, manage inventory, and maintain organized clinical spaces.
- Help support efficient patient flow and daily clinic operations.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
- Prior clinical experience preferred; functional or integrative medicine experience is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm, professional, and compassionate in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and high-quality care.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time - Monday through Thursday, 7:45am to 5:15pm
- Competitive pay based on experience.
