Karing Hearts Cardiology is currently seeking employment of a full time Nurse Practitioner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for individual patients in outpatient clinic and hospital setting. Assist with hospital rounds and hospital consults as directed by the physician
· Obtain health histories and perform physical examinations with timely and appropriate documentation in the EMR
· Stress test supervision
· Work collaboratively with all members of the practice to insure continuity of care for the patient
· Order, conduct and interpret laboratory and imaging diagnostic studies
· Prescribe or recommend pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies including controlled medications that are warranted by the patient’s medical condition
· Teach and counsel patient and family regarding medical diagnosis and treatment
· Promote/provide staff education
· May supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff
· Call requirements are 1 in 5 weekends
· Hospital coverage includes: JCMC, FWCH and SSH
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program
· Current TN license (or eligible) and active DEA prescriptive authority
· National Certification as Nurse Practitioner
· RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in Tennessee
· Current BLS and ACLS certification

Compensation:
Commensurate and competitive based on experience as NP and in Cardiology.
