Overview
The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by accurately processing customer orders and payments, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and ensuring a positive experience for every guest. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a friendly attitude.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and courteously as they enter the restaurant
- Take customer orders accurately, ensuring all details are entered correctly into the system.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately; issue receipts and change as needed.
- Balance cash drawer and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.
- Answer customer questions about the menu, specials, or promotions.
- Communicate with kitchen and service staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station, counter area, and dining area as needed.
- Follow all company policies regarding cash handling, food safety, and sanitation.
- Assist with packaging takeout orders and verifying order accuracy.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any guest complaints or concerns professionally.
