What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen & Bath Designer/Sales Consultant position at Karen Berkemeyer Home?
Kitchen & Bath Designer/Sales Consultant – Established Book of Business Required
Karen Berkemeyer Home (KBH), Westport CT
Karen Berkemeyer Home is seeking an experienced kitchen and bath designer with an established client base who wants full operational support. This role is built for a self-directed professional who generates their own projects through relationships with homeowners, builders, remodelers, real estate professionals, and trade partners.
A successful candidate will rely primarily on their own network to drive their business. If you already have a steady flow of projects and want a strong team and a complete product offering (cabinetry, plumbing, tile, countertops, and lighting), this position will allow you to sell more without the extra work of sourcing products from multiple vendors.

- Present design concepts and material samples
- Prepare design plans, specifications, quotes, and project timelines with the support of our showroom team
- Collaborate with installers, contractors, and vendors to make sure every project is executed as designed
- Oversee projects from start to finish, keeping clients informed and satisfied
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
- 3–5 years of kitchen and bath or interior design experience
- An established book of business and active referral network
- Proven ability to originate and close your own design-driven sales
- A strong portfolio showing a range of styles and completed projects

- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple active projects at once
