What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Kardinal Hall?
Kardinal Hall in Charlottesville, VA is looking for one experience high-volume bartender to join our 50 person strong team. We are located on 722 Preston Ave Ste 101. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hard-working.
Benefits
- Starting base pay of $5 an hour. Raise to $8 with Cicerone Certified Beer Server and Virginia ABC RSVP certificate. Required within 60 days on hire. KH will reimburse fees and provide study materials.
- Shift meal and drink with every shift.
- Front of house tip pool. Averages $35-$40 an hour. Weekly pay.
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Qualifications
- Weekend availability a must: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Additional shifts may be available depending on weekly business needs and personal availability.
- Proven working experience as a bartender and beer knowledge.
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
