What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Assistant position at KARASSI ENDOCRINOLOGY/INTERNAL MEDICINE?
Karassi Endocrinology is growing again and we are looking for a highly-motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. We provide care to patients with diabetes, thyroid disease, pituitary disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, testosterone replacement therapy and adrenal disease. e are committed to treating every patient with a comprehensive, individualized approach that addresses their unique needs and circumstances. The role of the Medical Assistant will be to assist in preparing the patient to be seen by the Provider. *Patient Intake: Rooming patients, verifying personal information and recording medical history.
*Vitals and Testing: Taking blood pressure, weight and possibly running an in-house A1c.
*Endocrine Specific Support: Review blood glucose logs, downloading data from continuous glucose monitors or insulin pumps, and setting up for a thyroid biopsy or ultrasound procedure.
*Medication Management: Preparing syringes, administering injections ( such as insulin or hormone therapies) and updating medication lists.
The clinic is open Monday thru Thursday from 7:00am - 4:00pm.
