Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality coffee and beverages. Previous barista experience and familiarity with POS systems are preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in retail math and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food safety and food handling standards
- Assist with food preparation and serving food items as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Follow all food safety regulations and health guidelines
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food safety knowledge and proper food handling procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
