Position summary:
To identify and develop new business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients, while delivering exceptional account service that fosters long-term, loyal relationships. Represent our agency in a manner consistent with our Core Values and make Kapnick Insurance the best in our business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Achieve new business production goals
· Develop and maintain a prospect pipeline using sound prospecting tools and methods
· Build and nurture relationships with referral sources and centers of influence
· Expand lines of coverage and services to current accounts by actively cultivating cross-selling opportunities
· Submit data and all necessary information on qualified new business accounts and existing account renewals to service teams for processing and marketing; present proposals and associated sales materials to prospects and clients to gain and renew client accounts
· Pursue, support or refer large commercial, small commercial and personal prospects to appropriate agency departments
· Attend sales meetings and agency training sessions
· Take time to prepare client presentations
· Promote agency and insurance industry in the community
· Maintain technical insurance skills and product knowledge, satisfy continuing education and licensing requirements and position yourself professionally to be the most effective Producer in your market
· Provide overall account direction to service team
· Promptly respond to client and service team members requests
· Communicate to the service team information about the client including buying styles, expectations, problems, concerns and other relevant knowledge to assure a consistently higher level of service
· Accept responsibility for significant problems on current accounts, to work with team members to develop solutions and to communicate these to clients in a manner consistent with our Core Values
· Offer innovation and process improvements where possible to help with agency wide improvements and efficiencies
· Perform special projects at management's request
· Present proposals to prospects and clients, close sales, and deliver policies
Requirements
- Successful sales and management record either in insurance industry or other industries.

- High School Diploma required
- Willing and able to travel as necessary and to attend conventions and other industry meetings if so instructed. Industry specific technical education. Willingness for continued education and professional development is essential.
