Position Objective
Our Furniture Assemblers ensure customer satisfaction through the quality assembly of wood furniture.
This is an interim position during our peak season.
Job Hours: 6:00AM - 3:30PM Monday - Friday
Position Responsibilities Include:

Break down pallets of unassembled units and place on assembly table. Responsible for the quality assembly of "ready-to-assemble" case goods using hand tools (hammers, pliers, etc.) and pneumatic power drill quickly and efficiently in production environment. Visually inspect assembly components and completed unit to ensure quality assembly. Move assembled unit from table to manual conveyor line.

Responsible for clean-up of work area to include empty boxes, plastic wrapping material, building material, etc. to ensure safety of area. Perform other duties as necessary.

Assist in building boxes using table saw to cut corrugated corner posts and pneumatic stapler as needed. Assist in packing finished furniture units by moving units from end of assembly line and place in boxes along with any packing materials. Seal boxes using pneumatic stapler, place label on box and move to pallet.

Occasionally assist in unloading of incoming furniture components from trailers by hand or with pallet jack and move to appropriate location in the warehouse. Identify obvious damage to materials through visual inspection and place damaged goods in specified location.
Position Requirements Include:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Some experience with case good assembly and proficiency with various hand tools required.
- Ability to learn how to assemble numerous (125-150 different units) units without written instruction from visual of completed unit and/or demonstration correctly and quickly is critical.
- Must be safety and quality conscious with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet the weekly production.
- Demonstrated ability to frequently maneuver and lift up to 75 lbs. independently as needed to assemble and occasionally lift up to 150 lbs. as part of a two person team. Majority of assembled units weigh between 40 lbs. - 90 lbs.
