Transportation and Fleet Manager - Grafton, WI
Primary Responsibilities
Fleet Management
- Manage daily fleet operations for Steel Blue Logistics.
- Oversee acquisition, leasing, and disposal of vehicles.
- Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and overall fleet performance.
- Ensure timely maintenance and compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Develop and manage driver schedules and assignments.
Transportation Operations
- Direct daily transportation activities, including scheduling, dispatching, and shipment tracking.
- Plan and optimize transportation routes for efficiency and cost savings.
- Analyze freight spend, identify inefficiencies, and implement cost-reduction strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, 3PLs, and freight forwarders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of transportation industry and fleet management practices.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
