Job Overview
A Line Assembler is responsible for fitting prefabricated and kitted wooden parts to create diverse finished wood products such as cabinets, stools, and kitchen islands. Assemblers begin by sourcing and inspecting pre-kitted stock and measuring it to ensure accurate cuts and fitment. The role requires interpreting blueprints or schematics to assemble component parts, using hand tools, mechanical equipment, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards.
Assemblers play a vital role in the production process, assisting in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of wood products. They are expected to maintain a clean, organized work area and follow detailed instructions to ensure consistency, structural integrity, and safety throughout the manufacturing processs
Duties
- Follow detailed technical instructions accurately.
- Interpret and work from engineering blueprints and schematics.
- Inspect the quality and quantity of materials used in assembly.
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts and tools used during production.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety directives.
- Test finished products to identify and correct defects.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in the production process.
- Keep a clean, well-organized, and safe workspace.
Skills
- Experience in woodworking and/or carpentry.
- Proficient and safe use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and material requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a production team
- Effective verbal communication.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift.
