Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet high standards of quality and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth shift management and team cohesion
- Oversee food safety sanitizing procedures and ensure compliance with all health regulations and safety standards
- Coordinate food production for various service areas such as fine dining, banquets, and catering events, including menu planning and portion control
- Manage inventory control and ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs
- Lead dietary department initiatives by ensuring special dietary needs are met accurately and efficiently
- Monitor food handling practices, ensuring proper hygiene standards are maintained across all kitchen activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in banquet settings, fine dining establishments, or large-scale catering with a strong background in food production and kitchen management
- Supervising experience with a track record of managing teams effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Extensive knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control techniques
- Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and serving techniques across diverse cuisines
