This position is responsible for managing all of Kanzaki’s environmental, health, and safety programs, and reports to the Company’s President & CEO. Kanzaki’s EHS Manager is responsible for:
- spearheading the development, administration, and continuous improvement of all environmental, health, and safety programs and practices throughout the company;
- advising executive leadership and management on technical and regulatory issues;
- consulting with all departments to ensure a safe and compliant working environment;
- ensuring compliance with local, state and federal Safety regulations and requirements;
- managing the EHS team, and leading the Safety Committee and Emergency Response Team;
- drafting, updating, and communicating safety and environmental policies; and
- driving a work culture where safety remains the absolute top priority.
The successful candidate must have:
- at least a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, Science, or Engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing context;
- experience developing and leading safety initiatives and improvements;
- strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DEP and other applicable environmental and safety regulations;
- ability to walk and climb stairs in a manufacturing environment;
- ability to read written and computer screen data; and
- ability to handle employee health and personal information with confidentiality and discretion.
