Dog Groomer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for the overall grooming and care of pets, ensuring they leave looking and feeling their best. This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities.

Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various types of pets.
• Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for care.
• Handle animals safely and effectively during the grooming process to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with pet owners and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Stay updated on industry trends in pet grooming techniques and products.

Experience

• Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary care or animal handling is preferred.
• Knowledge of animal behavior and care is essential; experience as a veterinary technician or in dog training is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with pet owners.
• Familiarity with various breeds of dogs and cats, including their specific grooming needs.
• Certification in pet grooming or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Pay is up for negotiation.
