We are adding one team member to our Activity Department to assist in providing an ongoing program of activities designed to promote the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each of our Veteran residents at the five-star Kansas Veterans' Home in Winfield, KS!

As an Activities Aide, this position provides an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the interests of and promote the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident. This is a direct care position that ensures quality of life and services for the residents of the Kansas Veterans’ Home (KVH).

Hourly Pay: $24.72
Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, and every 3rd weekend of the month
- 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Schedule can vary based on activities scheduled.
Requirements:
- Possess current Certified Nurse Aide certification by the Kansas Department of Aging
- Obtain and maintain an Activities Director Certificate within six (6) months of employment.
- Valid Driver's License
- Must pass a criminal background screening and be free from conviction of a criminal offense that would prevent you from employment with KVH.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A helpful and sympathetic attitude toward patients.
- At least 6 months of professional work experience as a CNA or CMA.
- Experience planning and implementing therapeutic activities.
- Positive demeanor with a focus on client/patient satisfaction!
