What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Kansas Pain Consultants?
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing exam and procedure rooms for patient visits and procedures Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and recording patient history Assisting physicians and advanced practice providers during patient visits and procedures Preparing equipment and supplies for spine and pain management procedures Assisting with procedure room turnover and sterile preparation
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of clinical areas Assisting with patient flow and clinic efficiency Documenting patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Following proper infection control, OSHA safety standards, and sharps handling protocols Maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations Other duties as assigned to support clinic operations Assist the physician during fluoroscopy-guided procedures, including supply setup, positioning, C-arm equipment positioning, and patient monitoring, all under the direct supervision and medical direction of the physician
Training and Clinical Environment
Kansas Pain Consultants performs specialized procedures involving the spine and nervous system. Medical assistants may receive training related to:
- Procedure room setup and turnover Sterile technique and infection control practices Handling and preparation of procedural equipment Supporting fluoroscopy-guided procedures and procedural workflow
Certification Requirements
If applicable, you must maintain any relevant certifications such as:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Maintain Radiation CEU’s annually
Clinic work hours are Monday thru Friday 8AM -5PM, NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS>
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
