Position Description

Personnel associated with Motor Vehicle Enforcement Program shall work toward the goals established for the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Program. Examine and confirm the identity of vehicles presented on court orders, possessory lien affidavit sales, salvage/rebuilt salvage titles, assembled vehicles, kit vehicles, homemade trailers, cab changes, and vehicles previously titled in a foreign state or country when applicant desires to obtain Kansas title/registration. Apply replacement Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) and KS assigned numbers. Inspections are conducted at VIN Stations at various locations. Operation of an agency vehicle is required to drive to dealerships, salvage yards, and tow lots to perform inspections.
Completes Motor Vehicle Enforcement forms, correspondence and other related forms/reports in a timely manner. Checks incoming and outgoing reports for accuracy.
