What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phone Operator/Patient Scheduler - Part Time position at Kansas Gastroenterology?
Responsibilities:
- Answering and directing phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Taking messages and delivering them promptly to the appropriate person
- Rescheduling appointments for all providers in the Clinic
- Assisting patients with inquiries and providing information about the medical office
- Create Clinic patient charts daily for the next day
- Handling confidential information with utmost discretion
- Provides customer service while answering incoming calls with an appropriate tone
Skills:
- Previous experience as a phone operator or in a front desk role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple lines simultaneously
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service over the phone
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately record information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high call volumes
