We’re looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as Director of Outpatient Rehab Services. Our outpatient rehab team includes licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists.
The Director of Outpatient Rehab Services is a key member of the leadership team. This position is responsible for managing the overall delivery of effective, cost efficient, and safe patient care for the outpatient rehab department. This role includes management of all discipline-specific staff as well as ensuring regulatory compliance within a Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD). This role includes a combination of administrative, clinical, and leadership roles to drive the overall success of the outpatient rehab department. The Director of Outpatient Rehab Services will oversee staff performance, quality and safe patient care through the hospital wide Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop care plans and deliver patient care
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs and services
- Supervise and provide guidance to rehabilitation staff
- Coordinate with medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation services
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Oversee budget and resource allocation for the rehabilitation department
- Implement staff training and professional development initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with external healthcare providers and organizations
- Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external review
- Advocate for patients' needs and support their rehabilitation goals
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
- Ensure the incorporation of the latest research and best practices in rehabilitation therapy
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of five years of experience as physical or occupational therapist
- Minimum of eight years of relevant managerial experience and/or training, or equivalent, combination of education & experience.
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy
- Current state licensure in the relevant field of practice
