The training program will consist of 40 hour online instructional training, followed by on-the-job training which will vary between 4-8 months based on demonstrated competency completion. Trainees will initially be certified on X-Ray shooting certification and complete additional training for X-Ray reading. Once both certifications are obtained, X-Ray Trainees must successfully pass an X-Ray assessment and will be converted to an X-Ray Operator.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend instructional and on-the-job training. Successful trainees will obtain a certificate in X-Ray reading and shooting at the completion of the training program. Upon receiving those credentials, trainees must successfully pass an X-Ray Operator assessment and will be converted to an X-Ray Operator.
- In accordance with instructions, specifications and standards, sets up and operates non-destructive testing equipment which shall include but is not limited to x-ray, tensile testing, fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle equipment, radiation gages and other related equipment necessary to the performance of the task.
- Performs X-Ray imaging and radiographs, recognizes and interprets all types of flaws, does film processing and reading. Must be able to recognize and prevent film handling artifacts.
- Packs, stamps, moves and ships materials and parts.
- Job requires proficiency in operation of all types of x-ray equipment.
- May perform all necessary paperwork pursuant to the task.
- May perform in-process inspection.
- May check and top off lubricants as necessary.
- US Citizenship, able to obtain and maintain US DOE Q level security clearance
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one year experience in reading interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and inspection reports
- Minimum one year experience working in a capacity using basic math skills (fractions, percentages, geometry)
- Minimum one year experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) and basic hand tool use
- Ability to work any shift
- Must meet vision acuity requirements
- Any X-Ray or Non Desctructive Testing experience.
