This Electrical Engineer III position is responsible for performing and coordinating design, development, evaluation, analysis, and/or quality control functions on advanced and complex engineering projects. This role also involves independently determining and developing solutions to technical problems specifically assigned or as they arise while applying advanced mathematical, physical science, and engineering technologies.

Summary
This Electrical Engineer III position is responsible for performing and coordinating design, development, evaluation, analysis, and/or quality control functions on advanced and complex engineering projects. This role also involves independently determining and developing solutions to technical problems specifically assigned or as they arise while applying advanced mathematical, physical science, and engineering technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates testing requirements to ensure they are properly written and executable per overarching guidance documentation.
- Provides critical feedback to tester team for requirements, written test plans, and evidence-based mapping of requirements.
- Create a bi-directional Requirement Traceability Matrix from test procedures back to requirements and customer specifications.
- Participates in establishing operating procedures on new products and components.
- Utilize the requirements management to highlight technical risks, management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
- Aid in test case execution per written test plan.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited university in Engineering or Physics from and accredited program.
- 4 years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or related technical activities.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- United States Citizenship
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
- Prefer requirements mapping experience.
- Prefer DOORS NG or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, mathematical computations, computer software applications, and written documentation.
- Demonstrated established technical methodologies to routine engineering projects.
- Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications to develop effective acceptance processes and improve existing processes.
- Familiarization with GD&T Concepts.
- Demonstrates working under minimal supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision making.
