In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. Honeywell FM&T’s culture of integrity, commitment and continuous improvement enables them to deliver responsive, collaborative and innovative management and technology services and products that translate into cutting edge solutions to complex national security issues.

Summary

The Director of Materials supports the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) strategic sourcing strategy development and deployment. This person leads and directs commodity sourcing efforts across the NSE and defines sourcing and business strategies to achieve enterprise goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads Materials Operations organization consisting of Materials Planning, Logistics, ISC Project Management and Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Leads the creation and execution of materials scheduling
  • Develops and oversees strategic initiatives as it relates to materials and supply chain execution
  • Responsible for partnering with internal organizations on strategic initiatives
  • Leads continuous improvement for integrated supply chain solutions.

You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • 10 or more years of experience in sourcing/supply chain/operations
  • 2 years experience in directly managing a team
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designation)
