Summary
Engineer II (Any Discipline) - Continuous Improvement role is a professional level position responsible for identifying continuous improvement opportunities that will enhance manufacturing processes, and drive operational efficiency. This position will leverage Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline workflows, resolve issues, and optimize the production lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead quality improvement initiatives by driving innovation in testing methodologies and advocating for continuous improvement across the organization.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to identify and resolve product defects early in the development lifecycle.
- Conduct root cause investigation and apply problem-solving techniques to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Utilize quality frameworks such as Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to develop and implement process optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that address root causes and reduce waste.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes and identify opportunities for further improvement.
- Provides peer mentorship and support when applicable.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program or bachelors of science degree in Physics from and accredited program.
- Two or more years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or related technical activities.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- United States Citizenship
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
- Lean or Six Sigma Certification
- Experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess the severity of issues and impact of solutions effectively
- Proficiency with statistical software tools such as Minitab
- Ability to analyze data sets to identify trends and make informed process optimization decisions
