The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Director of Continuing Education & Business Partnerships in the oversight, management, and operation of the Workforce Board Fast-Track Grant. This position coordinates comprehensive work-based learning initiatives including apprenticeships, internships, job shadowing, and pre-apprenticeship programs.  Serves as a liaison between the College, faculty, and businesses/industries. Tracks and ensures program performance and continuous quality improvement measures are met. Assists in completing reporting requirements of the grant program and provides direct business and client services while establishing and maintaining relationships as needed to ensure quality customer service and effective program operations. 

A. Assists in providing leadership and management for work-based learning initiatives and coordinates support for work-based learning and apprenticeship programs.

B. Assists in providing professional development opportunities regarding work-based learning opportunities for internal and external partners.

C. Interacts with industry, non-profit, advisory committees, community groups, students, faculty, and workforce partners to establish apprenticeships and other work-based learning opportunities, recruit apprentices/students, and manages apprenticeships.

D. Performs apprenticeship program management responsibilities, including registering businesses and apprentices, tracking activities, ensuring compliance, instructor/student/employer evaluations, student academic progress and performance at worksite, and reporting results.

E. Documents work-based learning and apprenticeship programs and apprentices through data collection, analysis, and report, including but not limited to grades, attendance, job descriptions, performance evaluations, and placement/conversion rates.

F. Monitors, analyzes, and manages grant-required performance measures to ensure performance measures and program outcomes are achieved.

G. Maintains awareness of Career and Technical Education (CTE) careers and workforce trends, industry requested transferable skills, and career readiness resources.

H. Assists in managing grant-funded budgets and identifying additional funding and partnership opportunities.

I. Develops content for apprenticeship marketing efforts, website enhancements, and social media outreach. Represents and promotes the College at professional business associations, community, and networking events.A. Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in business administration, psychology, education, or other relevant disciplines preferred. 

B. Minimum of three to five years of related professional experience in workforce development, education, business partnerships, or program management required. 

C. Experience/knowledge in CTE programs preferred.

D. Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities required.

E. Data analysis and reporting software proficiency (Excel, database systems) required.

F. Prior budget/grant management experience preferred.

G. Excellent oral and written communication skills, public speaking and presentation abilities for professional events and training sessions required. 

H. Social media management and marketing content development preferred.

I. Ability to communicate in other languages desirable.Hiring range: $66,407/yr. min. - $76,368/yr. 1st quartile - $86,329/yr. mid.

Position is grant funded to support work-based learning opportunities.

Salary : $64,143 - $86,329
