We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to work directly with the Founder/CEO and executive leadership as GO Bananas moves through capital formation, development, construction, pre-opening, launch, and future expansion.
Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer will lead the financial strategy and financial infrastructure of GO Bananas Entertainment.
This is not simply an accounting position.
We are seeking a strategic finance executive who understands capital-intensive entertainment, hospitality, attractions, real estate development, or comparable businesses and can help management successfully navigate the financial requirements of developing and operating a major entertainment destination.
The CFO will play an important role in financial modeling, budgeting, capital planning, investor and lender reporting, cash-flow management, financial controls, construction oversight, and long-term expansion planning.
The ideal candidate understands both development-stage financing and operating-stage financial management.
Key ResponsibilitiesCapital Strategy & Financing
- Work directly with the Founder/CEO on the company's overall financial and capitalization strategy.
- Help evaluate debt, equity, and other financing alternatives.
- Coordinate financial information required by lenders, investors, securities professionals, accountants, and financial advisors.
- Assist management with lender and investor presentations.
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting capital-raising activities.
- Evaluate financing proposals and their impact on cash flow and company economics.
- Manage financial due diligence processes.
- Maintain capitalization and funding schedules.
- Help management evaluate future refinancing and expansion opportunities.
Financial Modeling & Forecasting
Develop and maintain detailed financial models covering:
- Attendance
- Revenue
- Average guest spending
- Attraction revenue
- Food and beverage revenue
- Arcade and redemption revenue
- Parties and events
- Memberships
- Payroll
- Operating expenses
- Capital expenditures
- Debt service
- Cash flow
- EBITDA
- Break-even analysis
- Investor distributions
- Expansion scenarios
Create base-case, downside, and upside financial scenarios to help leadership make informed decisions.
Development & Construction Financial Oversight
- Establish the financial controls required for a major development project.
- Track project costs against approved development budgets.
- Maintain construction and development cash-flow forecasts.
- Review major vendor and contractor expenditures from a financial perspective.
- Track committed versus spent development capital.
- Monitor contingencies and potential cost overruns.
- Coordinate draw documentation and financial reporting required by lenders.
- Provide management with regular development budget reports.
- Help protect the project from uncontrolled cost escalation.
Accounting & Financial Controls
- Establish scalable accounting and financial reporting systems.
- Develop internal financial controls.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Establish purchasing and expenditure approval procedures.
- Manage cash and treasury functions.
- Oversee payroll-related financial processes.
- Coordinate tax planning and compliance with outside professionals.
- Coordinate annual financial statements, audits, and reviews as required.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Investor & Lender Reporting
The CFO will help establish professional financial reporting appropriate for institutional lenders and outside investors.

- Monthly financial reporting

- Budget-to-actual reporting

- Development budget reporting
- Debt covenant monitoring
- Financial KPI reporting

The CFO should be comfortable communicating financial performance clearly to both sophisticated financial professionals and non-financial stakeholders.
Operating Performance
Once GO Bananas becomes operational, the CFO will work closely with the COO and Founder/CEO to monitor the financial performance of every major revenue center.
Key metrics may include:
- Total attendance
- Revenue per guest
- Attraction revenue
- Food and beverage revenue
- Arcade revenue
- Party/event revenue
- Labor percentage
- Cost of goods sold
- Department profitability
- Operating margins
- EBITDA
- Cash flow
- Debt-service coverage
- Customer acquisition economics
The CFO will identify opportunities to improve margins while maintaining the quality of the GO Bananas guest experience.
Strategic Growth
As GO Bananas expands, the CFO will help evaluate potential additional locations.

Required Experience
Candidates should have:
- 7 years of progressive finance/accounting experience.
- 3 years in a CFO, VP Finance, Finance Director, Controller, or comparable senior financial leadership position.
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting experience.
- Experience managing company budgets and cash flow.
- Strong understanding of P&L statements, balance sheets, cash-flow statements, and financial KPIs.
- Experience establishing financial controls and reporting systems.
- Experience working with lenders, investors, auditors, accountants, attorneys, or other financial professionals.
- Strong analytical and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline is preferred. An MBA, CPA, CMA, or similar professional qualification is a plus but not required for an otherwise highly experienced candidate.

We are particularly interested in executives who have participated in the financing, development, opening, or expansion of a major entertainment or hospitality property.
Experience managing financial operations for a business generating $10 million in annual revenue is strongly preferred.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a CFO who is both strategic and hands-on.
GO Bananas is in its development stage, meaning the successful candidate must be comfortable building financial infrastructure rather than inheriting an already established finance department.
The ideal CFO can move comfortably between:
Capital strategy → financial modeling → construction budgeting → lender/investor reporting → operating performance → expansion planning.
This executive should be capable of sitting across the table from lenders and investors while also working directly with operating leadership to understand the economics of individual attractions and departments.
