The Kaniksu Community Health Lead Clinical RN is not just responsible for providing excellent customer service. They are committed to providing an excellent patient experience while performing essential clinical or administrative work in a fast-paced, productive environment. YOU ARE an essential team member charged with assisting patients in managing their care at Kaniksu Community Health.

Under the direction of the KCH Director of Nursing and Medical Staff Providers and as a member of the Kaniksu Community Health Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Team, a typical day might include of the Lead Clinical RN might include;

• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.

• Provide guidance and support regarding patient care, clinical procedures, and nursing best practices.

• Assist with the coordination of daily nursing operations and workflow management.

• Promote a culture of patient-centered care, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

• Participate in resolving clinical and operational issues as they arise.

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with organizational policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Assess patient needs and coordinate care with providers and interdisciplinary team members.

• Administer medications, treatments, and patient education as appropriate.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.

• Support quality improvement initiatives through adherence to evidence-based practices.

• Assist the Director of Nursing with staff scheduling and coverage coordination.

• Monitor staffing needs and support efforts to maintain appropriate staffing levels.

• Review employee timecards for accuracy and assist with payroll-related processes.

• Track attendance, time-off requests, and schedule adjustments.

• Assist with maintaining personnel records, training documentation, and required certifications.

• Support the preparation of reports, audits, and operational data as requested.

• Assist with onboarding and orientation of new nursing staff.

• Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to team members.

• Support performance management activities, including feedback and competency assessments.

• Help identify training needs and opportunities for professional development.

• Promote accountability and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

• Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards.

• Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

• Monitor documentation practices and assist with chart audits as assigned.

• Participate in accreditation, regulatory, and payer audits as needed.

• Ensure nursing staff maintain required certifications, licenses, and training.

• Act as a liaison between nursing staff, providers, leadership, and other departments.

• Facilitate effective communication regarding operational and patient care matters.

• Participate in staff meetings, leadership meetings, and interdisciplinary care conferences.

• Support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

• Responsible for relating well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and for having empathy for patients with demonstrated ability to treat them with dignity and respect.

Experience Needed to Land this Gig:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Idaho.

• Minimum of three years of nursing experience required.

• Previous leadership, charge nurse, preceptor, or supervisory experience preferred.

• Experience with staff scheduling, timekeeping systems, and administrative support functions preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.

• Knowledge of nursing regulations, standards of practice, and quality improvement principles.

• Ability to lead and mentor nursing staff effectively.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with administrative duties.

• Proficiency in electronic health records and workforce management systems.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule:

• Full Time

• 40 hours/week

• Monday to Thursday
