Building Service Technician (Commercial Cleaning)

Kangaroo Kleaning Service is seeking dependable, hardworking Building Service Technicians to provide commercial cleaning services throughout the Shreveport-Bossier area.

For more than 30 years, Kangaroo Kleaning Service has provided professional commercial cleaning services to businesses across multiple industries. Our clients depend on us to maintain clean, sanitary, and professional facilities—and we depend on our team members to consistently deliver the level of service we promise.

This position is best suited for someone who takes pride in doing a job correctly, works efficiently without constant supervision, and understands that being dependable means more than simply showing up.

Employees are expected to:

• Arrive on time and ready to work.
• Remain actively engaged in assigned duties while on the clock.
• Complete the full cleaning assignment according to the client's scope of work—not only the most visible or convenient tasks.
• Work at a reasonable and productive pace throughout the shift.
• Accurately report hours worked and follow all company timekeeping procedures.
• Inspect completed work and correct missed areas before leaving the facility.
• Follow instructions, cleaning checklists, and site-specific procedures.
• Communicate promptly with management when an issue prevents an assignment from being completed.
• Treat client property, coworkers, and supervisors professionally and respectfully.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, replenishing supplies, cleaning glass and common areas, and maintaining offices, hallways, lobbies, break rooms, and other assigned spaces.

Depending on the position and experience, employees may also perform floor care services such as stripping and waxing floors, buffing, carpet cleaning, and other specialized commercial cleaning services.

Employees must properly use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment and follow all company and client safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

Commercial cleaning experience is preferred, but reliability and work ethic are equally important. Successful candidates should be able to work independently, follow detailed instructions, manage their time effectively, and consistently complete assigned responsibilities.

Applicants must be physically capable of performing commercial cleaning duties, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, reaching, and lifting items associated with routine cleaning work.

This position may not be a good fit if you require frequent supervision to remain on task, regularly have difficulty reporting to work as scheduled, or are looking for a position where simply being present for the scheduled hours is considered completion of the job.

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
