We’re searching for a proven Plant Manager to lead a major mill and conversion facility featuring large manufacturing machines and a union hourly workforce. This role reports directly to the SVP of Mill Operations and drives safety, production, people leadership, and continuous improvement across the site.
What You’ll Lead
• Full mill operations with a focus on safe, reliable, efficient production
• A diverse team of operators, maintenance, and administrative staff
• Daily execution of production plans while maintaining quality standards
• Implementation of safety and sustainability policies
• Tracking and reporting KPIs across production, quality, and financials
• Sitewide Opex initiatives and SOP deployment
• Process improvements that boost throughput and reduce waste
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s in paper science, engineering, or related field
• 10 years in paper manufacturing, including 3 years in management
• Deep understanding of the full papermaking process
• Strong Opex background with a record of implementing SOPs
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
• Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making
• Solid financial acumen and experience managing budgets
• Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and quality
• Passion for the paper industry and operational excellence
