Strong computer skills are a must as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), ZOOM, use of email and the ability to navigate around and use many other software applications used by the office and courts.
Applicants must be able to type at least 35 wpm with accuracy. Must have extensive data-entry skills, strong math skills, money handling, filing and phone (call center) experience.
Must enjoy working with the public and providing customer service in person, by telephone, email, mail or chat. Be able to multi-task and handle large workload(s) with attention to detail while meeting statutory recordkeeping responsibilities of the job.
Have the ability to work independently and as a team to accomplish varied assignments. Be able to work under pressure. Be able to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
This position requires local travel to the various Kane County Court buildings using your personal vehicle. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle with the proper vehicle insurance and current vehicle registration.
High school degree or GED required.
This is a non-exempt position. The deputy clerks are represented thru American Federation State County Municipal Employees - AFSCME.
Monday Friday 7.5 hours per day 37.5 hour work week.Annual gross $35,997.00 no end range. Pay increases are in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFSCME.
